NEEDLEWORK - COUNTED AND OTHERWISE

You will find hundreds of charts and books for Counted Cross Stitch, on almost any subject you choose. There are charts from Lavender & Lace/Told In A Garden, Lynn’s Prints, Calico Crossroads, Bent Creek, Stoney Creek, Jeremiah Junction, Victoria Sampler, Sweetheart Tree, Leisure Arts and many, many, more.

A Four Seasons exclusive is a cross stitch chart of the Casselman Bridge - a local attraction. Completed in 1813 it was the highest single-span stone arch bridge on the National Highway at the time.

There are many Aida fabrics from 6 to 22 count as well as Linens, Lugana, Jobelan, and other even-weave fabrics in various counts and colors. There is a new Weaver’s Linen (not even-weave) to be used for punchneedle or regular embroidery.

There are patterns and books for Brazilian (dimensional) embroidery, tatting, smocking, Hardanger, Swedish weaving, silk ribbon embroidery, weaving on Monk’s Cloth, knitting and crochet. We carry all the Martha Offut patterns for dimensional embroidery. There is a line of red work patterns by Karen Phillips Schwallen.

There is a great selection of stamped embroidery - quilt squares, baby quilts, pillowcases, tablecloths, scarves, doilies and table runners/dresser scarves.

Another recent addition is a few punchneedle kits and patterns.  Punchneedle is an old needlework form that has been revived once again, being done with fine needles and threads. 

There are instruction books for all of the above needle arts as well as smocking, weaving on Monk’s Cloth, Huck or Swedish weaving, Hardanger, tatting, knit and crochet.

There is an assortment of kits for Crewel embroidery and Needlepoint.

You will find a wide variety of special threads used in counted cross stitch, Brazilian and silk ribbon embroidery, smocking, Hardanger, punchneedle, tatting, crochet, knitting and regular embroidery.

We have the full line of Sampler Threads from The Gentle Art, Needlepaint Thread (all over-dyed cotton) and a wide selection of Weeks Dye Works over-dyed cottons as well.

From Caron Collection we carry Wildflowers and Watercolours (overdyed cottons), Waterlilies (beautiful overdyed silk), Impressions and Snow.

A selection of threads from Rainbow Gallery includes Gold Rush, Nordic Gold, Splendor, Treasure Braid, Wisper, Ultra Suede and Santa’s Beard.

From EdMar we have beautiful rayon threads for Brazilian embroidery - Boucle, Nova, Lola, Frost, Iris and Glory.

From Kreinik we carry all the Balger Blending Filaments and many colors in the various braids - #4, #8, #12 and #16 and some of their Silk Mori thread in the Milkpaint colors.

There are the most ask for colors in Glissen Gloss Colorwash and Rainbow Blending Thread, and a selection of overdyed wools and flosses from Needle Necessities.

From DMC there is the complete color line of embroidery floss, including variegated colors and the newest colors, and a variety of colors and weights of pearl cotton. Their newest addition is VARIATIONS, a cotton floss that has an overdyed look.
