Welcome to the NEW Four Seasons Stitchery!  Jane Benson has retired and we now have a new owner, Shelley Booska.  She has recently assumed ownership of the shop and looks forward to providing customers with the same relaxed small town atmosphere and big town selection of fabrics and notions. This is not only a fabric shop, but also a needlework shop.  We have a large selection of thread, ribbon, and floss for tatting, crochet, embroidery and all other kinds of needlework. We also carry a very large selection of quilting fabrics and patterns. Take time to browse and let the friendly, knowledgeable staff assist you in choosing fabrics for a quilt or to help you with your needlework project. There is a Gift Corner with gifts especially for quilters and needleworkers. We have a nice selection of quilting and needlework-related novels that are now priced at 50% off, from authors such as Jennifer Chiaverini, Emili Richards and Monica Ferris.   In addition, our large selection of quilting books cover all skill levels from beginner to pro. Children's books about quilting are also available. Our notions department is extensive and covers notions for quilting, sewing, and needlework. Four Seasons Stitchery is located in the beautiful mountains of Western Maryland along historic US Route 40. We are at 116 Main Street in Grantsville just minutes from Interstate 68.  To find our shop take Exit 19 off of Interstate 68 and go North on Route 495 to the stop sign.  From the stop sign, turn right onto Route 40 and the shop is located about four blocks from that intersection on the right, in a renovated red brick school building.  Along with providing the same level of service, we will be adding more features and building on our already large inventory.  We will soon be stocking over 200 NEW bolts of fabric. In September we will be opening a classroom in the back of the shop and will offer classes for beginning quilting, smocking, and how to make a pineapple quilt. If you are interested in learning any particular technique of needleworking or quilting, please let us know. To open a class we only need to have three or more participants! Also, in September, we are happy to be welcoming Martha McGettigan to our shop. She  will be giving a workshop on her personal pattern of a "ghost" quilt.
